ABOUT

Kelsey

Kelsey Crawford is a visual artist, certified nutritionist (CN), level III Usui Reiki practitioner, and herbalist. She founded Go Forth Culture LLC. and The Painting Herbalist in 2013 and has been providing nutrition counseling and workshops in her community for the past five years. She began her educational journey into holistic wellness by becoming the youngest graduate of the Juut (Aveda) Institute’s Ayurvedic based self-care curriculum in 1992 at the age of 13 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Throughout her teens, Kelsey worked as an intern on her aunt’s ranch in Southern Oregon, studying native plants and learning biodynamic farming basics.

After spending nearly 20+ years in the restaurant industry, moonlighting as a touring musician, Kelsey returned to school and earned her nutrition certification from the Wellspring School for Healing Arts in an extensive holistic nutrition program. Graduating in 2016, Kelsey was then hired on by the Wellspring School for Healing Arts as their social media manager and continued to do so until 2019. She continued her education in herbal formulations through NUNM (National University of Natural Medicine) and caring for cancer, women’s wellness, and medicinal herbs in a culinary application through the Wellspring School for Healing Arts. Kelsey was first introduced to universal energy work in 2008 by a family member/Reiki practitioner & universal energy worker. Although she recently completed her formal Reiki training and received her certification at the beginning of 2020, Kelsey’s informal education in energy work has been ongoing for over a decade.

Her love of music, visual art, and live performance are aligned with her complimentary care practice in a unique and much needed way, to illuminate the connection between the creative & healing arts. Her work is informed by her philosophy that creative expression comes in all forms as a fundamental element of holistic wellbeing.
